[New York Post] UK officials want to test drugs for safety before letting music festival-goers get high

Festival-goers in the UK can say goodbye to bad trips and crappy coke — officials aim to offer onsite testing to ensure the club drugs are safe to use, according to a report.

The Royal Society for Public Health said stronger ecstasy in the UK is resulting in “serious health harm” and believes testing can help weed out doses that are too strong or made from harmful, not-advertised, substances, the BBC reported.

A pilot program was tested at two UK music festivals in 2016 and found ecstasy tablets that turned out to be 100% concrete and an anti-malaria drug getting passed off as cocaine, the outlet reported.
